Please follow these steps if you are having problems with video calls on Teams. Make sure to test all functions of Teams calls 15 minutes before meetings.

Please make sure to use the desktop app version of Teams.

Try not to use the in-browser version (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox).

1. Make sure to check that you are connected to the internet.

2. If you are having internet connection issues, test your connection by using another device to join the meeting.

3. Check your device settings:
3a. Click the 3 dots (...) next to your profile picture, then click "Settings". On the left of your screen, under settings, click "Devices".

3b. You should now see your Audio settings. Make sure that your speaker and microphone are both correct.

3c. Make a test call to make sure that the audio is working properly. It is good to do this 15 minutes before a meeting to ensure that your microphone and speakers work.

3d. Check that your camera is working by looking over the camera settings and making sure the right device is selected. The preview should display your camera's view.

4. If you are already in a Teams meeting:
4a. Click the arrow next to "Mic", and make sure the correct microphone and speaker are selected.

Make sure the microphone is not turned off, it will look like this.

4b. Click the arrow next to "Camera" and make sure the correct camera is selected.

Make sure that the camera is not turned off, it will look like this.

5. Check the Teams app for updates by clicking the 3 dots (...) next to your profile image. If an update is available, it will appear in the dropdown.

6. Log in and out of Teams by clicking on your profile and "Sign out". Then log back in.

7. Restart the Teams app by right-clicking on the Teams icon in the taskbar and clicking "Quit Teams." Then reopen the app.
