Follow these steps when the self-checkout aisle is receipt printer is jammed or the interior spool is rolled over itself.

1. Pull the front panel forward and then pull the printer forward.

2. Press the green lever to the right of the printer forward, into the printer, so the front of the printer can be lifted. This gives better access to the roller.

3. Tear off the paper from the back so it's free to spool around.

4. Lift the green lever next to the circular thumb wheel to the left of the printer until it is locked into place while lifting the front of the printer.

5. Once the lever locks into place, you should be able to turn the circular thumb wheel clockwise to manually unwind (while pulling gently) all of the paper that's rolled around the rubber roller.

6. If the green lever on the left isn't staying up, it's likely because there's so much paper rolled around it that it's already pressed up all the way, and will just need to be unrolled a bit more first.

7. Once all of the paper has been unwound, push the left lever back down and close the front of the printer; there should be a click.

8. Feed the paper into the back of the printer so that it comes back out the front, and push the printer back into its original position.
