Calibrating Zebra ZT411 labels (our method)
- Disable the automatic calibration on the menu.
- Press the MENU button on the SCREEN.
- Press the "Close print head Action" button on screen (this may need editing for correct term)
- Select the "No motion" button
- Press the HOME icon in top right corner of screen.
- Ensure the media length is longer than the label length in the on-screen menu.
- Make it just longer than the label length.
- Insert new roll of labels and thread through to end of print track.
- Close the label pressure lever.
- Align the gap sensor (green light).
- Press FEED button (middle button on front panel) 3 times, or until the space between labels is exactly over the tear bar.

- Open the label pressure bar.
- Move the labels back so that the space between labels (or the space at the end of the first label) is directly over the tear bar, the same as the labels were after pressing the FEED button 3 times.
- Close the label pressure bar.
- Press the PAUSE button (left button on the front panel).
- In BarTender, load your label form.
- Select the PRINT function and change the quantity to 2.
- Print the 2 labels.
- Verify that the labels are lined up (they should be) AND that the print quality is good.
- If not lined up properly, repeat the process.
- If the print quality is poor, adjust the speed and/or darkness accordingly.
- Faster speed will put LESS ink down on label, slower speed puts more ink down.
- Increase darkness if print is faded, decrease darkness if print is too dark or mushed out.
- Once labels are lined up properly, try printing more labels, like 10, to ensure they are good.
- Adjust quantity and print labels.
- NOTE: We recommend that you print ONLY about one-third of the labels, then print an "ORDER MORE LABELS" label, then print the remaining quantity of labels needed.
Print as many of the same label size as possible at one time, then change label formats again, following this procedure.
