Toshiba SurePOS touch screen calibration

When a Toshiba SurePOS touch screen gets out of calibration (pointer does not go where your fingers go), do these steps:
  1. Shut down the entire computer system.
  2. Power off the UPS that is powering the lane & counter scanner/scale.
  3. Use a screen wipe to clean entire screen.
  4. Use same wipe to clean the 1/4" ledge around the edge of the screen VERY clean.
  5. Press and hold the touch screen power button (under the lower right corner) for 30-60 seconds to drain the screen's power.
  6. Turn on the UPS.
  7. Turn on the computer (press the power button on the right front of the small gray computer box.
  8. Test the touch screen all over.  It should be better now.
